name explanation
EMBER-: For the orange in his pelt and darker streaks that reminded his father of fire.
-SPARK: Referencing his over all personality and eccentric ways. He was never one to do things traditionally and was a tad impulsive, but giddy and friendly.

appearance
A diluted orange tabby tom with a short coat. He's rather slender in his build, but has long legs making him tall. His eyes are a very dark amber, almost a brown.
personality
Ever since he was a kit and all through his adult moons, Emberspark was very eccentric. He loved to squeal and run around playing as a kit, and had trouble sitting still as an apprentice. As an adult he's also very energetic, and most of all friendly. He's always seen the good in cats and loves being able to have many friends to talk to and hang out with.
Skills
Even with a rather short attention span, Emberspark has an incredible memory. He may simply hear something in passing, not having to pay all of his attention, and he could probably recite it randomly days later. This made for his memory of herbs and their uses incredibly fast and easy, and he also could remember even the smallest patches of certain herbs that grew all over in case he'd need them.
history
Emberspark was born to his mother Pigeonflight and his father Nighteye. He enjoyed an easy yet rambunctious kithood, full of playing with his two littermates (Mossytail and Jaysong) and getting into trouble that kits do.
Before becoming an apprentice, Emberspark had taken a particular interest in Thunderclan's medicine cat, Hazelnose, and her profession. The soothing scents of the herbs calmed the energetic kit down significantly, so he often times ended up having to fall asleep at the mouth of the medicine den to be carried back to the nursery by a queen. Thunderclan cats were all particularly hopeful about his interest in medicines in the fact that Hazelnose was an aging medicine cat without an apprentice, and Thunderclan needed an heir for the role.
Emberspark wasn't ignorant to the fact, either, and requested that he be apprenticed to Hazelnose during his ceremony. He never showed much of an inclination towards fighting anyway, so it wasn't at a loss there.
He was eagerly accepted as a medicine cat apprentice, and his following moons sailed by with ease. He made many friends and acquaintances all throughout the four clans, and even in Starclan during his trips to the Moonstone. He received his full name at 16 moons old, and shortly thereafter had to take up full medicine duties at 22 moons, as Hazelnose passed away of natural causes in her sleep.
Going that path alone proved to be more difficult, but Emberspark managed fairly well. He took on an apprentice when he was 35 moons old, but battle between Thunderclan and Windclan ended his life. He was brought along as an on-site medic during a particularly fierce battle on the borders of the two territories. Emberspark was slain by a slash to his throat, of which was a terrible accident when a Windclan warrior missed his mark to another warrior and caught the medicine cat.
In Starclan, however, Emberspark immediately forgave his killer. Today he scampers about in Starclan territory, eagerly meeting the future generations of Thunderclan whenever needed.

FRIENDS: Friendship always has been a huge aspect of Emberspark's life. He's always trying to get off on the right paw with new cats, and trying to kindle friendships in those he's already met, and hanging out with current friends. If you catch his eye at random in a crowd, he'll be sure to pop by and try to chat!
ENEMIES: On the other paw, it would be an incredible feat to make enemies with him. It would take moons of pure perseverance and killing his friends to make enemies with him. He always knows there's some good in a cat if you just look hard enough. He especially pities those in the Place of No Stars, as few have managed to gain his agreement in their banishment.
