name explanation
Shade-: The dark stripes on her back nearly made her blend in with the shadows cast along the nursery floor.

appearance
Shadethorn is a large, muscular she-cat with a long brown tabby coat. She has lighter brown and white highlights in her fur along her face, muzzle, and belly. Her eyes are a dull amber, but she has the habit of being able to stare through your soul with them.
She has various scars along and under her pelt around her body, mostly on her forelegs and sides.

personality
She's a very fake cat. Fake as in she's an incredible actor, and many of her past moons were spent doing just that. She acts as if she were a trustworthy cat: loyal, friendly, and helpful. Her true thoughts and intentions are the exact opposite, though, and she was in denial of it for some time. She was manipulative without meaning to be until she found out that the gain from doing so far outweighed the consequences she rarely faced. She may be a backstabber if her plans don't go right, and she's incredibly cunning and deceitful.
A smooth-talker as well, she rarely spits pure insults but rather lets her ego do the work in belittling others as well as talking her way into favor, and her claws are a force to be reckoned with and often is the case.

As a warrior, her fighting skills are a prominent feature. She's powerful in her offense and like a wall to clamber over if she decides to go on the defense. She's a fast thinker and takes advantage of it in the heat of battle, and also uses her intelligence for plotting and deceiving.
history
She started her life out as a spoiled, bossy kitten. Even when she was the youngest in the nursery, she managed to tell the older kits what to do, and even some young apprentices were kind of wary of her as she grew older. Much of the clan expected the leader to give her a mentor that would straighten her out, but the opposite proved true. Instead her mentor honed her ambitions and personality to be reflected in her fighting skill primarily. Her training often lacked on the hunting and history teachings and focused on battle skills.
As an apprentice she excelled in battle training but was lacking some in hunting, mostly for being apathetic of what she deemed a less important duty. But she passed her assessments with flying colors and her warrior life marked the beginnings of her sour intentions.
As a warrior now, Shadethorn is very focused on her duties, and uses the facade of hard work as an excuse to do what she really does. She's yet to be found out, but she occasionally will do such things as fake evidence of another clan trespassing, just to start quarrels. Many of the smaller things she does is for her own amusement. She's quite flirtatious with any cat who she could gain the interest of, though she has no intention to begin real relationships. Mostly she seduces them to make her own life easier, prompting them to do some dirty work of hers, or she'll try to make connections to the higher ranks of her clan and senior warriors to give herself favor in ranks. Ultimately she plans to gather a little clique of her own to make her way to the high life. While she's content under the current leadership for now, she's certain that she could do better in the position herself.

FRIENDS: She doesn't so much have anyone that she considers as 'friends' rather than she has those she can depend more upon to achieve certain goals. She tends to mentally file cats into categories of those she can trust with her wishes, and those that are useless to her. Not to say she won't certainly act like your friend to gain approval and lower suspicion.
ENEMIES: Cats who stand in her way of getting what she wants are who she deems enemies. Equally those who act like they're better than she is. She'll find ways to blackmail these cats, single them out in battle, or just overall manage to make their lives more difficult.
RELATIONSHIPS: Having a romantic relationship is definitely not very high up on her ambitions. She doesn't see the point in mingling with some other cat like that, but it isn't impossible to gain her "attention" if you treat her like royalty and do well in answering her tasks. But even then, she'd see the relationship as more of something to further gain rewards. She'd be a manipulative, possessive partner certainly if the romantic feelings were one sided. She'd just take advantage of the other then.
True returned affections would be a once-in-nine-lifetimes phenomenon. Should any cat have such status to her in her mind, they may as well have the promised protection of Lionclan for the rest of their lives. And if they're particularly lucky, she may even find it in her heart to treat them pretty well.
