appearance
Despite having a very large and stocky appearance, beneath all of her fur, Dogstar is actually a tall and slender cat. She is a lean and muscular she-cat with short solid brown fur, save for her white underside, paws, and splotched face. Her moss green eyes are plain.
personality
Dogstar is a very honest and giving cat, and will do anything in her power to help any cat in need. She definitely has a soft spot for kits, and is known to spend some time in the nursery when she can. She one day hopes of having kits of her own. She takes the elders' counsel just as often if not more than the senior warriors'. She is very respectful and warm.
Skills
While Dogstar may not be the best at fighting, she makes up for it with her stealth and knowledge of tunnelling and the Tunnels. Being a very persuasive cat and having the best interest of her clan often makes most cats think her ideas are brilliant.
history
Being the only kit born to her near-barren mother, Mossflower, she is cosseted by her mother to this day. As Dogkit began to spend more time out of the nursery than in it, she realized that while being the only kit her age could be nice, it could also get immensely boring, as she had no one to play with. She would soon begin to practice what she'd seen the apprentices do when they play, but she found out that fighting all by yourself was rather difficult. She couldn't ask the apprentices to play fight with her, they would only scoff at her. Mossflower was out of the question for playing with, the queen despised acting in such a manner.
This led her to being a bored little kit.
Luckily there were plenty of elders with whom she could talk with. She loved to hear all of their stories and wisdom. Though when she was told of a story about the Tunnels, she tried to dig a tunnel by herself in the camp. This earned her a good scolding, and discouraged her from digging in the camp again.
When Dogstar was apprenticed, she was given a mentor who did not work in the tunnels, and she constantly badgered him about going in them and learning. After her training was complete, she went to work in the tunnels as a warrior when she could spare the time.
She was given an apprentice at a young age for a cat. Though her apprentice was weak and small, he managed to earn his warrior name at the same time as his littermates. Three moons later she was appointed a new apprentice, but he caught a bad case of greencough which ended his life not yet a moon into his training.
Dogstar was chosen as deputy when the greencough that killed her apprentice had forced the deputy to retire. Many cats were furious with the leader's choice of choosing such a young cat to be deputy when there were other more experienced cats available. The leader, Birdstar, was not well respected due to some poor decisions he had made in his past, and almost considered choosing another to be deputy. He wanted a young cat with a good heart to lead. A young cat that was able to support others and do what is best for them.

plotting
FRIENDS: Dogstar is friendly with most cats, and seems to be able to get on most cats' good side.
ENEMIES: She doesn't tend to get along with some of the more violence orientated cats, and with cynical cats. She stands up for what she believes in, and this can upset some cats.
RELATIONSHIPS: Dogstar is not currently in a relationship, but she would like to be in one. She feels like she needs a bit more support than only from her deputy and medicine cat. She would one day like to have kits too.
