WOOL
8 Moons | ♂ | Pansexual |
Farm-Cat | ||
Yellow-Green | Brown Tabby & White |
name explanation
WOOL: His mother gave him the name for the amount of fur that he'd grown- even so soon after birth. They lived on a farm and she saw lots of sheep, but didn't feel 'sheep' would be good enough!
appearance
Wool is very large-set, with a thick and length-y coat that definitely suffocates the poor tom in the hotter months. He sports wide shoulders, a defined back and a natural thickness, more akin to chubbiness than actual strength; with puffy cheeks, a soft belly and an almost 'waddling' step. He is bigger than his siblings and generally a clumsy monster of a cat, even in his youth.
personality
Wool's very concerned with the safety of his friends, family, or simply just felines he enjoys. He's boisterous enough to liven plenty of those dark moods and frequents telling stories that may or may not be fiction. He's never excelled at reading situations or acting appropriately, which could result in hurt feelings- but, because of this he seems incredibly stupid. He's truly a dim-wit and he largely depends on the smarts of cats with a bit more awareness to get him through those rough spots spurred by a wrong action or misplaced friendly wink.
Skills
Wool is about as close to a shield as most cats can get. He's no good with flaunting about on light toes, he's terrible at throwing punches. You likely wouldn't be able to find a cat who's more deaf than Wool either, (he's probably got cotton in those ears of his!) while it's not a physical deficiency it's just something like 'selective hearing' or perhaps him getting into his zone.
history
Wool was born to a long-haired she-cat in an abandoned barn. He had two siblings, affectionately dubbed Wheat and Hoof. Of course, this barn wasn't completely empty! Oh no, if it were then it would lack all appeal. There were little mice who constantly scuttled under-paw, between the thin straws of hay and the occasional bird who'd return to a nest far over-head. Wool might've even sworen that he'd seen dogs or raccoon in that barn, but he was nothing more than a story-teller. Another she-cat lived with them in the barn, heavy with pregnancy and only mildly territorial with his own little family. They were content, feasting on dead mice whenever they'd poke their heads too far out the hole! Wool was always a very gluttonous tom and ate far more than his two siblings.
It wasn't long until that foreign she-cat returned to their home looking fairly ruffled. She produced two kittens, one of which died shortly after birth. One fateful night that cat went out hunting and simply never returned- and that was when Wool was introduced to the absolutely tiny Beef. He took to her almost immediately, while his siblings were far more hesitant. There was a strong tension between them, especially as Wool shifted from one cat to the other. His mother had taken to soothing these little spats soon grew tired; and her kittens were growing more independent. She left them, feeling she would provide no more time for the large scraps.
With no one to stomp their skirmishes or to teach them right from wrong a sizable conflict sprung between the four. Wool and Beef left his siblings (even if he was a bit heart broken about it!) and settled elsewhere. They found a forgotten truck cap and decided to make themselves at home within its shiny grasp! There was enough space in a broken window for Beef to squeeze through, and him with some tender love and encouragement (and maybe some rump-pushing). They've since used this as they're own personal home, with frequent visits to nearby farms, involving chicken trouble and many other devious acts.

plotting
FRIENDS: Beef
Wool has always valued himself as a loyal tom, sticking to the hips of his friends like pollen to a bee or moss to the back of trees. As far as Wool is concerned, there has never been a day where Beef wasn't in his life, and he chose to stick with her over his own siblings. Ever since she'd been introduced to his family as a baby he's not let himself depart from her- being highly protective of her. She's his partner in crime! While he is a excessively friendly tom it would take a bit to get the same treatment he spares for his only friend.
ENEMIES: Wheat, Hoof
Wool generally tries to ah-- separate himself from these cats. More often then not they're individuals who he gave the wrong impression to (since he's not known for particularly working to get on anyone's bad side) or done wrong with his foolery. He rarely lashes out at these cats, but he can get stupidly condescending when around them- even when they're obviously making him look like the dumb one.
RELATIONSHIPS: Wool really has no desire. So long as his belly is full and he's got Beef he's a-okay! Granted, he's also too young to be focusing on finding his lost love or forever-honey.
