name explanation
ALLIUM: This is not his birth name; he chose it because the flower "allium" is big and toxic to cats, therefor it sounds intimidating.
appearance
Long-bodied, scrawny, gray mackerel tabby tom with yellow eyes. Pointy ears, short fur, and a small muzzle that tapers at the end. Lower parts of his body are lighter but no white. Walks slowly with a sagging bounce in his step. Average height but being so thin and long makes him look small.
personality
Mysterious and quiet. Rarely speaks, but when he does, he whispers of distant legends and unsolved deaths. Allium claims to be a master of visions, not only of StarClan but of all cats' religions and ancestors. Known to be cunning, mystic, and dangerous, Allium is a cat who is, in truth, none of the aforementioned things.
Little do most cats know that his shadowy persona is a front to keep him safe. Allium knows that he is weak and the insecurities which keep him fearing for his safety have made him an excellent liar with a flare for the arcane.
Allium is selfish and his desires come from an anxious terror that his murderer is around every corner, and the only way to keep them at bay is to maintain his lies. He sees everyone, even the tiniest kit, as being stronger than he.

Skills
This is a cat whose reputation exceeds him.
Allium is a horrible fighter with no muscle mass nor skill whatsoever. However, while he may lie about being dangerous physically, Allium is not one to be trifled with in terms agility. He can climb, run, and even swim faster than most loners.
On top of agility, Allium is an excellent hider. He can become invisible almost anywhere and his pawsteps are nearly silent, which make him a fantastic hunter against small non-bird prey. Larger prey like rabbits, however, are not for him.
Allium does not actually receive visitation nor communication with the dead. He is a believer that all religions are true/all afterlives are real, but has never interacted with a spirit whatsoever. All claims that he has are lies, as are the majority of his stories.
His ability to lie comes not from deceptive skills nor con artistry, but from a vivid imagination and a genuine passion for séances.

history
Allium was born as "Jackie" to a large litter of kittypets. They lived mostly in and around their owner's greenhouse, left to their own devices by the nonchalant twolegs.
His mother was a small, lithe kittypet who was never very present. Her memory was terrible, she could never remember which kit was named what, and she slept too often. For this reason, her five kits didn't have much in the way of discipline nor motherly attention. They became aggressive and needy. Jackie merely became distant. He wasn't the smallest kit but was bullied the most due to his absent disposition reminding them of their neglectful mother.
When their twolegs finally decided to get involved, a vet discovered a tumor in the mother's brain (the cause of her behaviour) and took her away to be put down. They figured the 6-month-old kits could take care of themselves by now.
The kits dispersed, some in pairs, but Jackie went alone. None of the kits were told why their mother had neglected them/vanished/about her brain tumor, leaving Jackie to invent stories to cope with the loss. His favorite was that his mother was being contacted by spirits and was too busy helping them to pay attention to her kits.
When cats asked why such a young, skinny thing was alone, that was what he would tell them: his mother was a prophet who had left on a sacred mission, abandoning him. Eventually, the question came up of whether he had inherited his mother's powers.
He said yes.
Proving such was a trail that took up a sizable chunk of his life. He'd been chased out of entire blocks, begged to for mercy, bossed around, treated as garbage and a wiseman both...but eventually, he had built a name for himself.
That name was Allium.

plotting
FRIENDS: Allium has no interest in friends. Letting someone get too close means that they might find out the truth and reveal him as a fraud.
ENEMIES: Everyone is a potential enemy when the whole world is bigger than you. If someone isn't completely wrapped around his non-existent thumb and head-over-heels for his stories, they're a threat and must be avoided.
RELATIONSHIPS: Just like friends, lovers are dangerous. Letting anyone get too close could be a disaster for his entire persona. Fear of potential mates exposing him keeps Allium single.

other
Hopefully other roleplayers will be okay with pretending they already have heard of Allium, but if they haven't, I can always say that he's new to the area and news of him hasn't spread yet.
