Halfstar's Den // Thoughts of a Leader

Halfstar sat in his den, watching his clan go by their daily business outside. With Crowtalon sorting out the day's patrols and Speckledtail sorting out the endless herbs in her den, everything seemed normal for once. Halfstar caught the eye of Speckledtail through the vegetation that covered the leader's den, her smile calming the few nerves he had. 
His clan looked calm and peaceful for now, but Halfstar couldn't ignore the feeling of a threat that constantly bothered him. Starclan only knew how quickly things can change in the forest, as they have before.
